What the Recent Court Ruling Means for Off Grid Customers

Recent legal developments involving suppressors and the National Firearms Act (NFA) have generated significant interest and understandably raised questions about how suppressor purchases and transfers may be affected.

We want to provide our customers with a clear update on what has happened, what it means for Off Grid Armory, and how we are handling transfers at this time.

What Happened?

A federal court recently issued an order limiting the enforcement of certain National Firearms Act requirements involving suppressors and other NFA-regulated items for specific plaintiffs covered by the case.

The federal government did not obtain a stay before the order took effect on August 13, 2026. As a result, the ruling may affect how certain qualifying purchasers and businesses handle regulated items.

It is important to understand, however, that this ruling does not remove suppressors from the NFA nationwide. Its application is limited and may depend on several factors, including the purchaser, dealer, organization, and state involved.

As a result, suppressor dealers and manufacturers across the country are evaluating the ruling and determining how it applies to their individual operations and federal licensing requirements.
