Permit to Carry MN Application
This is the application you’ll need to fill out and give to your sheriff after you receive your certificate. Remember that in some counties especially Beltrami County you may need an appointment.
Minnesota law requires a Permit to Carry permit to have a handgun in public. With this permit, you do not need a separate permit to purchase a firearm. To apply, complete a Permit to Carry Application and submit it to the sheriff’s office in your county. Processing takes up to 30 days, and the permit is valid for five years. If you reside outside Minnesota, you may apply at any Minnesota sheriff’s office. Some counties, such as Beltrami, may require an appointment.

Effective July 1, 2023, the state of Florida acknowledges all concealed firearm licenses lawfully issued by another state.
Nonresidents who want a Florida Concealed Weapon or Firearm License can still apply for one.
